Microsoft Launches Indonesia Central Cloud Region – A New Era of Cloud Computing Begins

Microsoft has officially announced the general availability of the Indonesia Central Cloud Region, its first-ever cloud region in Indonesia. This milestone positions the country as a key player in Southeast Asia’s digital transformation, empowering businesses, startups, and public institutions to leverage low-latency, high-resiliency, and secure cloud infrastructure built within national borders.

The Indonesia Central region includes three independent availability zones, each equipped with separate power, cooling, and network resources to ensure high availability and fault tolerance. Designed to meet the highest standards of security, privacy, and regulatory compliance, this new region enables organizations to confidently run mission-critical workloads and store sensitive data locally.

Starting today, organizations can select "Indonesia Central" as their preferred region in the Microsoft Azure portal.
