Digital Ecosphere West Java: Mapping Achievements and the Direction of a Sustainable Digital Ecosystem
Bandung, Indonesia – Garuda Spark Innovation Hub (BLOCK71 Bandung) hosted the Digital Ecosphere West Java forum on January 5 at Garuda Spark Innovation Hub, Bandung. The forum served as a strategic platform to map the achievements of West Java’s digital ecosystem while formulating the future direction for sustainable cross-sector collaboration.
With the innovations produced throughout 2025, it has become evident that the acceleration of digital transformation in West Java is increasing rapidly, requiring strong synergy between government, industry, startup communities, and technology providers. Through Digital Ecosphere West Java, stakeholders gathered to align the regional digital ecosystem development vision with national policies.
The Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Meutya Hafid, was also present at the Digital Ecosphere West Java event. In her address, she emphasized that the key to sustainability lies in synergy between government, communities, and global partners. She also expressed support for strengthening the confidence of local industry players to enhance their global competitiveness.

The event continued with the presentation of the Alkademi Impact Report by Dyan R. Helmi, Chairperson of the Alkademi Foundation. The report highlighted the significant potential and achievements of communities in the digital sector, underscoring the need to strengthen collaboration among startup communities, local governments, and industry in both the provision and absorption of job-ready talent.
A panel discussion titled “Orchestrating Digital Talent: From Development to Absorption” served as a strategic dialogue forum between startup communities, ecosystem enablers, and global technology industry players. The discussion was moderated by Ajie Santika, Co-Founder of Feedloop AI, and featured panelists from the Bandung Startup Community, Garuda Spark Innovation Hub (BLOCK71), and AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Key issues discussed included evaluating digital talent training methods to align with global industry standards, analyzing West Java’s real digital workforce needs for 2026, mapping existing talent development programs, and identifying concrete strategies for absorbing graduates into the private sector, state-owned enterprises, and government institutions.
The forum also reaffirmed the role of ecosystems such as BLOCK71 in bridging local talent with startup needs at both national and global levels, including building exposure to international industry standards and fostering effective collaboration models among stakeholders.
Through this forum, the seeds of strengthened cross-sector collaboration were planted to support the development and absorption of digital talent in West Java.
